Commercial Water Removal in Time for Arlington Corporate Meeting

Let's face it; there is never a convenient time for commercial water damage. No matter what the cause, any event that results in the closure and need for restoration of a business affects the revenue stream and sometimes even the reputation of a company. 

When an Arlington company needed fast commercial water removal, they contacted us. A supply line in a breakroom broke in the wee hours and the security company monitoring the property noticed the water flowing onto the breakroom floor. Our emergency response team arrived quickly after the call, and the property owner wanted to know how fast we could clean up the water damage and get the property cleaned as they were planning a corporate meeting and it was too late to cancel or reschedule. 

Given the need to dry the property quickly, we scoped the room to track the water migration path and deployed multiple portable pumps to extract water removal and move on to the drying phase. While the property owner arranged for the supply line repair in the breakroom, we set up our air movers. We drilled weep holes in the sheetrock around the supply line to allow greater airflow and dry the area.

Once dry, we cleaned and disinfected the area. Because of an apparent slow leak that led to the breaking of the supply line, we treated the area where we drilled weep holes with an antimicrobial sealer to inhibit mold growth. To ensure there were no remaining water odors, we used two different odor applications, so when the corporate meeting was held in a few days, the property would smell as clean as it looked. 

When SERVPRO technicians completed our restoration efforts, we gave the property owner the report to assist with expediting their insurance claim including: 

• Before and after photographs of each item restored or discarded as a loss
• Listing of minor sheetrock repairs needed to restore the breakroom to its preloss condition
